**R&D Quality & Performance Sr Manager**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

Amgen is expanding its global capabilities, and we are seeking a qualified **R&D Quality & Performance Sr Manager **to join our team at Amgen's Portugal Capability Center. Acting as the primary point of contact for R&D Quality Capabilities in Portugal, you will Represent R&D Quality on designated projects and initiatives.

You will also ensure adequate resources for executing process management and training strategies assigning Quality & Performance Specialists to various R&D Quality projects based on their expertise and project requirements. Your expertise in MS Office Applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, will be essential in maintaining accurate and consistent documentation that adheres to format, content, and style guidelines.

**Additional responsibilities will include**:

- Act as the primary point of contact for R&D Quality Capabilities in Portugal.
- Oversee budget management and handle vendor/third-party relationships as required.
- Provide strategy and vision for R&D Quality & Performance Innovation (QPI) in collaboration with the QPI Leadership Team and Business Process Owners.
- Establish and implement processes and standards to ensure controlled documents and training for end-to-end processes and staff performance across R&D.
- Oversee R&D controlled documents and training compliance with regulations and Amgen obligations.
- Partner with global R&D Quality team members for quality and compliance advice and the development of training materials.
- Support inspections and audits from a Process Management, Documentation, and Training Perspective.
- Collaborate on the strategy for sharing requirements documents with Alliance / Business Partners.
- Work with R&D, Business, and other Quality Functions to create, revise, and format documents, process models, and training materials.

**WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU**

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The individual we seek has technological literacy and leadership skills, and has these qualifications:

- +5 years of experience in **Quality Management**, **Document Management**, **Quality Assurance**, **Training**, or other relevant areas of the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Experience in process management and electronic document management repositories (**preferred**).
- Intermediate to Advanced understanding of **MS Office Applications** (Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Smartsheet, Veeva, etc.)
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Visio, Veeva, and/or other systems and tools to develop and manage documents and business processes.
- People leadership and managerial expertise.
- General knowledge of instructional design, training content development, and learning evaluation
- Thorough understanding of global regulations impacting **R&D activities**.
- Oversight and implementation of **Quality Management Systems**.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong business writing abilities and active listening.
- Ability to transform business and stakeholder feedback into clear, efficient processes using a straight forward language and format.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Capability to understand and articulate technical concepts and literature in spoken and written **English**.
