Join our summer internships program and you will be able to get that first experience that will help you to start defining your path. The opportunities that we are offering this year are:
Inside our **Space Segment** division within the **on-board SW** team:

- Advanced Satellite Software Configurator: The heterogeneity of the missions requires an advanced configurator that adapts the software to the needs of each mission. In this position it is proposed to implement a configuration tool for future space missions.
- Upgrade in performance of the space software: Strengthen the capacity of the on-board system developed by GMV with new tools and techniques, such as DevOps and CI/CD.
- Introduction of open services (OSLC) in space software: Integrate some development tools in space following the OSLC specifications. After integration, a real software satellite will be built.
- Transmission of commands from the ground to a satellite: Update and verify the operation of the PUS (Packet Utilization Standard) protocol, the verification will be done with real software from a satellite in a simulated environment.
- Space software simulator: Design a software model for space in order to be able to run it in the simulated environment.

Also in the Space segment, our colleagues from **Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) **are offering:

- Space Mission Analysis and GNC/AOCS Engineering: Mission analysis definition (trajectory design, navigation analysis), synthesis and qualification of automatic control systems for space vehicles, particularly focusing on Design Development Verification and Validation of algorithms and software.

Our **GNSS **team in Portugal is well-known for its work in signal processing, holding in its team various skills and capacities in the generation, propagation and reception of GNSS signals, developing work and carrying out various studies for the ESA (European Space Agency) as well as the execution of projects relevant to the future of GNSS/Galileo. Here you will find the following options:

- Analysis of monitoring station data and GNSS simulation environment: Analysis of (real) measurements obtained in a monitoring station, developing needed scripts and algorithms complemented with simulation of GNSS receiver test scenarios based on a simulator.

Out colleagues from Intelligent Trasnport Systems are becoming a reference in the **Automotive (AUT) **sector. There are coming with this great opportunity:

- Intelligent Mobility - collaborative services for safe roads: Design and development of collaborative mobility services to increase the safety and efficiency of travel. The services to be developed will be integrated into a mobility platform that integrates multiple data sources. These services are: ICRW (Intersection Collision Risk Warning) and Traffic Prioritization

In our **Defense **area, working in Military and Aeronautics projects, you will find the following opportunities:

- Virtualization of Aeronautic Operating System over Qemu: Use the QEMU virtualizer to run XKY OS. XKY is an ARINC 653-compliant time-and-space partitioned real-time operating system (RTOS). It is developed in compliance with the DO-178 regulations to offer all levels of security up to DAL-A.
- Research on new MIT plug-in for PostgreSQL: Use tspDB to implement a use case to demonstrate its usage on a real project. This enables predictive query functionality in PostgreSQL by building an additional “prediction index” for a collection of time-series of interest.

And last but not least, our colleagues from **Secure e-Solutions (SES)**, which is the most IT part of GMV, are offering the chance to try the newest technologies in opportunities like:

- Software Engineering: Full stack development.
