What are we expecting from the future Senior Accountant: - To enjoy working for a company that targets massive growth for the coming years; - To properly understand after 1-2 months what the particularities of our business are, and to come with corrective actions and improvement recommendations, where applicable; - To know how to work with local authorities, what are their expected reaction times (when requesting information, when filing for VAT recovery, when requesting authorization or an approval); - What are the sources of free online information on accounting matters; **Responsibilities**: - Perform banks reconciliations; - Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts; - Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable; - Fixed assets management; - Provide technical support and advice to the Finance Manager; - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls; - Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers; - Prepare month-end and year-end closing process; - Prepare financial analyses and reports with the Finance Manager; - Assist the Finance Manager in financial audits and/or tax audits. Requirements and skills: - To be a young and ambitious professional, who has accumulated relevant experience having worked for accounting or consulting companies or local Portuguese entrepreneurial companies; - To be fluent in English language (both written and spoken), to have experience with minimum one international ERP program (Navision is a plus) and to have very good Excel skills. Having had an active role in an accounting software implementation is a plus; - Familiarity with financial accounting statement; - Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process; - Ability to train staff in accounting procedures; - To be curious, to permanently look for any opportunity (or a threat) for the company; - To actively seek and promote cost optimizations and waste reduction; - To be intelligent, honest, tenacious, fighting for achieving each goal and ready to resist to periods of hard and intense activity. - Being a certified accountant is a big plus, but not mandatory; **Tipo de oferta**: Período Integral Horário de trabalho: - Período diário
