We operate as a consulting service firm since 2013 and offer specialized consulting services to clients in the financial and information technology sectors.

**Main tasks**:

- Implementing and administering IT solutions at the database layer;
- Following operational processes and suggesting improvements aligned with market best practices;
- Configuring, maintaining and optimizing databases;
- Administering backup and recovery procedures;
- Troubleshooting operational problems and root cause analysis;
- Administering proactive daily/weekly/monthly checks;
- Reporting, KPI’s and SLA’s;
- Responding to monitoring alerts and implementing correction;
- Participating in 24x7 on-call rotation plan;
- Documenting internal team administration procedures and repeatable non-automatable procedures for L1 support;
- Creating and updating information on CMDB;
- Communicating status and planning activities inside and outside the team;
- Follow market trends and related innovations;
- Lead and manage the database administration team.

**Requirements**:

- Knowledge of common database engines like Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, CosmosDB;
- Installing, configuring and upgrading databases and related components;
- Installing, configuring and upgrading Oracle Forms & Reports;
- Database Performance tuning;
- Experience with High Availability Clusters (RAC / Microsoft High Availability Cluster & Always-On,);
- Interacting with technical support and 3rd
- party services (e.g. Backup);
- Designing and implementing database backup & recovery strategies;
- Monitoring with OEM Cloud Control, Microsoft SCOM or 3rd party tools;
- Managing database replication;
- Linux/Unix and Shell scripting/Windows Power Shell;
- Cloud operation skills (Oracle and/or Azure);
- Improving methods for monitoring and error-prevention (e.g. diagnostic or corrective automation);
- Knowledge of automation tools like ansible and/or terraform.
