**MANAGER - DATA SCIENCE**

**We will count on you to**:

- Use business acumen to be able to analyze, drive insights and create meaningful reports using large datasets;
- Direct and troubleshoot database issues to keep existing databases running efficiently;
- Troubleshoot a wide range of issues including server availability and coding issues for database configurations;
- Direct, plan and execute strategic database activities including installation, configuration and upgrading of SQL server software and products;
- Create and size database storage structures and objects;
- Plan for backup and recovery of database information;
- Support strategic direction for database platforms by evaluating and making recommendations for new platforms;
- Source data from disparate systems with good understanding of Qlik/ other BI tool architecture;
- Transform data using advanced joints, functions and sets on SQL database;
- Migrate code across production, development and testing environments.

**What you need to have**:

- Degree in Engineering, Math or any other relevant field;
- More than 7-8 years of relevant experience;
- Experience managing data engineering teams;
- Experience managing agile development (or any other key project management approach for data sciences and engineering dev);
- Proven Interaction with predictive/ prescriptive modelling;
- Balanced approach with technology and business who is able to translate business needs to technology;
- Detailed knowledge of data warehouse technical architecture, data modelling, infrastructure component, ETL/ELT and reporting/ analytics tools;
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with ability to translate data into meaningful insights using SSRS, SQL databases;
- Experience with API based connections like REST API;
- Experience with HDFS technologies like Apache NIFI, Dremio;
- Experience with Data Visualization tools like Qlikview, Power BI;
- Experience with no/low code apps development;
- Proficiency in SQL with broad working knowledge of methodologies used for advanced reporting is required;
- Advanced knowledge of script editor to connect and retrieve data from various data sources at the extraction stage;
- English language proficiency.
