Summary of the role:
This position is for a team lead in the Compliance Services product line, responsible for software development activities of ComplyLog and all regulatory technology solutions for issuers and advisors. It involves a hands-on technical leadership role.
50% of the time will be dedicated to writing high-quality, production-ready code and the remaining 50% will be dedicated to managing the team: mentoring the team, addressing challenges, supporting career growth, and actively participating in coaching and training initiatives.
The key accountabilities for this role are:
- Design robust, scalable, and cost-efficient end-to-end cloud solutions customized to meet product specifications.
- Elevate team performance through regular one-on-one meetings, constructive feedback, and fostering individual growth.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to ensure alignment with business requirements and meet delivery timelines.
- Prioritize and facilitate the early resolution of client issues, ensuring adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and team dynamics.
- Conduct code reviews, contribute to critical feature designs, and ensure the overall quality of the team's deliverables.
- Flag technical debt and areas of improvements, making sure they are properly documented and taken into account when defining priorities.
- Implement a robust documentation system for knowledge base, onboarding, knowledge transfer, and communication in software development activities. - Willing to travel for collaboration with offshore teams.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in Java development with expertise in the latest editions, including Spring Boot and 2+ years managing small software teams.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Gitflow, IaC, deployment patterns, and code quality tools.
- Extensive knowledge of AWS, Microservices architecture, design patterns, and proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid grasp of security best practices related to APIs and data privacy.
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and a commitment to driving Agile practices within the team.
- Keen on staying current with industry trends, tech advancements, and best practices to enhance the team's workflow.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
