_As a Community Project Manager at Unbabel, you will work with the team in charge of managing the community of freelancers who work for Unbabel. From sourcing to onboarding, from daily tasks assignment to performance evaluation, you will develop, oversee, and maintain all procedures relating to our freelancer pool, as well as act as a representative of the community pools in all projects, from day-to-day customer translations to internal quality assessments and special research efforts that may include other teams such as the NLP, MT, and Product teams._

**Responsibilities**:

- Own the recruiting process for PROs: post ads, screen CVs, manage SOWs, etc.
- Own testing, onboarding, evaluation, and feedback processes for PROs.
- Create and maintain onboarding, training, and support materials.
- Provide support, advice, and guidance on tools, processes, responsibilities, etc.
- Act as the sole liaison between internal stakeholders and the PROs.
- Communicate with them to ensure that quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met, negotiating deadlines and rates.Assign and manage projects and tasks from start to finish.
- Monitor and report on PROs’ performance.
- Develop content strategy to keep PROs informed and engaged, fostering a sense of community among PROs, as well as within the broader editor communities.

Qualifications and skills:

- Proven experience in translation project management.
- Technical skills and good knowledge of the state-of-the-art in translation/localization studies, linguistic analysis, NLP, and AI.
- Academic background in Translation Studies or related disciplines (or equivalent work experience in the field).
- English fluency (CEFR C1/C2); proficiency in another language is a plus.
- Interest in languages and working knowledge in more than one foreign language is a must.
- Proficiency in Excel advanced skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and to learn in-house tools.
- Ability to effectively operate independently with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
