Project Management Technician

The **PROJECT MANAGEMENT **department, aligned with EDP Renewables, is hiring a Project Management Technician.
- **PROJECT MANAGEMENT** - Take ownership / responsibility of multiple projects, from the identification/confirmation of opportunities to their transfer to the Asset Management Team, following the company's processes and tools. Guarantee the fulfilment of delivery time and project costs from the beginning of the promotion stage, throughout the construction, and until the beginning of the operations. Management, monitoring, and follow-up of technical and environmental studies. Lead the licensing processes with entities from the early stage until ready-to-build.
- **RELATIONS WITH THE AUTHORITIES** - Monitor the progress of the assigned licensing projects, promote the exchange of information with the official authorities and ensure that the objectives are met.
- **COORDINATION** - Supervise and coordinate the involved teams’ deliverables for each projects phase (Engineering, Development, Land, Construction, Purchasing, Financing, M&A, Energy assessment, Environment, Legal consultancy...), alongside potential external partners or providers, in order to ensure the complete coordination of all interventions and the quality of the contributions.
- **RENEWABLES KNOWLEDGE** - analyse competitors and the main participants in the wind and solar business, in order to ensure the company´s competitiveness. Assess legal and regulatory frameworks and developments and participate in public consultations.
- **INDUSTRY ANALYSIS** - detect opportunities (purchase opportunities, market alterations, trends and technical developments, etc.), to foresee risks and threats and ensure compliance, guaranteeing the company's business plan.
- **BUSINESS PLAN AND BUDGET ELABORATION** - Take part in the definition and updating of the business plan and budget elaboration in regards to the assigned projects (delivery time and project costs). Support investment transactions to achieve the objectives defined for the business plan.
- **INSTITUTIONAL REPRESENTATION** - Represent the Company before official authorities and stakeholders. Establish a network of high-level contacts with frequent ground presence.

**What we are looking for**:

- University degree (3 or 5 years) in Engineering (preferably in Electrical or Control Engineering) (mandatory);
- 1-year min. professional experience in wind farms or photovoltaic plants processing, development, construction and connection;
- Project Management skills (MS Project) (preferred);
- Knowledge of the Portuguese permitting framework for energy projects;
- Good domain of Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Power Point);
- AutoCAD (preferred);
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Portuguese;
- Availability for travel.
