The **Digital Global Unit (DGU**) is an area of **EDP SA** and its mission is to challenge the organization to think differently and go beyond, in a context of increasingly frequent and faster technological, economic and social changes, creating and disseminating a digital friendly culture, favorable to the development and experimentation of new solutions that create value for the various stakeholders of the EDP Group. To support us in this role, we intend to recruit for the **Data&AI Competence Center** department.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Ensure consistency in data governance policies and practices across all business platforms to maintain a unified and standardized approach and an alignment with regulatory requirements;
- Implement global initiatives to improve overall data quality, with a focus on common challenges faced by multiple business platforms;
- Working closely with representatives from each business unit to understand their specific data governance needs and challenges;
- Build with business data owners, the business glossary and the mapping with data assets to achieve a curated data catalogue;
- Provide centralized training programs and communication strategies to ensure that data governance best practices are understood and followed consistently across all business platforms;
- Implement monitoring mechanisms to track data quality, consistency, and adherence to policies across the organization.
**Looking for people with the following requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Computer Science, Information Science, Data Science or similar;
- Between 3 and 8 years of professional experience in similar functions;
- Strong understanding of data concepts, data modelling, data lifecycle, and data governance principles;
- Proficiency in data analysis, with the capability to assess data quality, recognize trends, and pinpoint challenges and opportunities for enhancement;
- Experience with data governance, data management and data quality software;
- Good communication skills to explain data policies, issues, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
