**Responsibilities.**
- You are a key contributor to the Group accounting processes and policies: you will work closely with the Group Consolidation Manager, the Corporate Reporting Manager, and the Head of Close and Accounting on adapting the accounting policies and processes in accordance with requirements from the business and you ensure that accounting rules are well documented and are applied consistently across SBM worldwide.
- You are a reference in IFRS expertise at the Group level: you are always up to date with the latest changes in IFRS standards, coordinate changes in IFRS within SBM worldwide, and participate in organizing IFRS training across the group.
- You are a key contributor to the accounting analysis of complex transactions: you prepare position papers in very various areas such as IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 11, IAS 28, and IFRS 9.
- You are a key contributor to the Annual Report & to the preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements disclosed to the Amsterdam Stock Exchange: you will be responsible for the preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements which consists of both coordinating and obtaining information from different departments (Treasury, Tax, etc.) as well as preparing certain sections of Financial Statements. Your ultimate goal is to deliver top-quality and compliant Financial Statements.
- You liaise with external stakeholders: you are the key interlocutor for external auditors and other providers (e.g. Product lines business controllers, treasury, Group tax, ).
- You work together with the Close and accounting community across the group: you contribute to animate and lead the accounting community and provide technical assistance to finance teams globally.
- You are interested to develop CSRD reporting knowledge? : You will work in close collaboration with our Strategy and Sustainability team to address CSRD reporting requirements in relation to financial aspects.
- In this role, you will be part of the Forecast to Report team which consists of 70 enthusiastic financial professionals, mainly dealing with the preparation and presentation of internal and external financial reporting. The team is based in Porto, Monaco, Netherlands and Switzerland but has day-to-day interaction with the local finance teams in the SBM and other locations across the world, ranging from Brazil to Kuala Lumpur. Within the team, you will report to the Group Accounting manager**Requirements.**
- Expert-level IFRS skills
- Post-grad accounting degree (i.e. ACCA, RA, or equivalent)
- 6+ years of experience working in an international audit firm and/or a similar corporate accounting position
- You are able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and are capable of managing change in an international environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of English (both written and verbal),
