**Your new Company**:
Our client is a Shared Services Center located in Lisbon.
**Your new role**:
VAT Junior Analyst goal is to ensure VAT compliance processes. Ensure execution of specific VAT and tax checks to guarantee control and compliance.
**Responsibilities**:
Prepare and submit all reports connected with European entities VAT obligations (VAT Returns, Recapitulative Statements, others);
**Ensure accuracy of ERP data**: Perform controls in order to detect inaccuracies, liaise with accounts payable, accounts receivable and other teams in order to review individual transactions and make necessary corrections, if applicable;
**Compliance of invoices**: Analyze invoices to ensure compliance with local tax law (minimum requirements) and proper tax treatment - request corrections if necessary;
Follow up, maintenance, review and reconciliation of tax accounts;
Preparation and filing of 8th directive VAT claims (foreign VAT);
Support on ad hoc research and projects from time to time, including expansion into new countries and VAT treatment of new operations.
**What you need to be successful**:
Degree in Finance/ Accounting / Economics/ Law or similar regarding tax or accounting;
Professional Experience from 1-2 years in accounting environment / business area is a plus;
Fluent English. Fluent Spanish is a plus;
Knowledge of SAP is also a plus;
**IT Skills mandatory**: Excel;
Big 4 Tax or SSC tax previous experience is a plus.
