**Position**:
PLC Automation Technician
**Reports to**:
Automation Innovation Team Leader / Automation & Industrialization Manager
**Role summary**:
The aim of this position to design and install controller system software for APTIV internal projects. You will be asked to develop programs from scratch, analyzing system requirements, writing and installing custom programmable logic code, testing system efficiency and providing operational support.
**Your role**:

- Liaise with internal clients to discuss their mechanical or electrical automation needs;
- Drawing electrical or mechanical schematics to demonstrate how processes will work;
- Developing and installing machine programs using automation software and custom

coding languages;
- Determining machine automation test criteria before the final installation;
- Testing automated systems for efficiency, safety, and reliability;
- Troubleshooting system errors;
- Overseeing the successful installation of PLC programs;
- Documenting development processes;
- Providing technical support;

**Requirements**:

- PLC technical certification;
- Detailed knowledge of PLC automation software and coding languages;
- Work experience as a PLC programmer preferred;
- Electrical and Mechanical engineering experience preferred;
- Knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical processes preferred;
- Knowledge in CAD and AutoCAD software preferred;
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision;
- Ability to travel when required;
**Technical Requirements**:

- Mandatory:_
- PLC programming (Specialized in Siemens but open to other brands);
- HMI programming (Specialized in Siemens but open to other brands);
- Field Communications (Profinet, DeviceNet, EthernetIP, RS232).
- Desirable:_
- Knowledge of Robot Programming (KUKA, UR, ABB);
- Programming Vision Systems (Sensopart, Cognex, IFM);
- Industrial Computer Programming / SCADA (Visual C#, Visual Basic, SQL Server).
