Armilar is a company belonging to the Vortal ecosystem, a group that has been operating for over 20 years in the area of Public Procurement, more specifically in e-Procurement and e-Sourcing solutions. Armilar was born from an opportunity identified in 2019 to work with all the data generated within Vortal’s public procurement platform.

Today, Armilar presents itself as a SaaS and DaaS Market Intelligence solution. Its objective is to help private companies that want to do business in the public market to access all the market information (opportunities open in the market, competition data and identification of new potential customers) they need to make better decisions. It operates mainly in the Portuguese and Spanish markets and already has thousands of users.

Because it is relatively recent, works with differentiated technological solutions and has great growth potential, Armilar combines the attractiveness of a «start-up» with the infrastructure, size, notoriety and consolidated market knowledge of the Vortal group. It has offices in Lisbon, Madrid and Vigo.

We are looking for a Data Analyst to harness advanced analytics and machine learning for actionable intelligence and strategic decisions. The position entails complex data analysis, predictive modeling, and a strong command of Business Intelligence (BI) tools to assist our teams.

**Responsibilities**

Develop and maintain advanced data models and algorithms.
Ensure data integrity and devise error remediation strategies.
Create insightful BI visualizations and dashboards for data storytelling.
Utilize tools for data processing and analysis.

**Additional Responsibilities**

Develop and implement machine learning models to identify and rectify data inaccuracies, ensuring the integrity and reliability of data across.
Rapidly prototype data-driven strategies, working closely with champion clients to validate and refine new market intelligence offerings, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the market and the organization.
Collaborate with product development and strategy teams to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies, fostering a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making.

**Education**

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, with a strong foundation in data analysis and machine learning principles.
Additional certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Python, Big Data technologies, machine learning libraries) are highly desirable.[Optional] Certification in BI tools like Power BI, reflecting proficiency in data visualization and insights generation.

**Skills & Knowledge**

Bachelor’s/Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
Proficiency in Data Analysis Tools, SQL, Python, machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow), and BI tools (including Power BI).
Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and strategic data usage.
Experience in data processing, analysis, and visualization techniques.
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Eagerness to engage in continuous learning and professional development, particularly in areas related to data analysis, machine learning, and business intelligence.

**Experience**

Some experience in data analysis (2-3 years), including familiarity with identifying data discrepancies and implementing corrective measures to maintain data integrity.
Practical knowledge in using data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to create meaningful reports and dashboards that support business decisions.
Participation in collaborative projects where data insights were used to inform strategic directions or product development.
