Company Description Hello We're looking for an awesome Senior Physicist | Photonics to join our team on our journey to revolutionize personalized medicine **About your Role / What will you be doing?** **On Biophotonics**: - Providing key expertise on system performance and operational requirements, analyzing operational data to evaluate operations, processes, or products. - Programming of control systems and user interfaces for optical systems (C#, python) - Development, fabrication, and characterization of lensed optical fibers and other types of fiber tips - Analyze, fabricate, or test fiber-optic links (test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment; fabricate devices or components). - Maintenance of Optoelectronics Equipment (Lasers and drivers, Photodetectors, DAQs, Optical Spectrum Analyzers, among others) - Prospection and Acquisition of equipment for new experiments. **Supporting Product Development**: - Prospection and Acquisition of optoelectronics equipment - Testing and debugging prototypes - assist in the transition of photonic prototypes to production **Other Functions**: - Document experimental, R&D, and design processes including objectives, issues, and outcomes (prepare procedural documents and reports) - Read current literature, talk with colleagues, continue education, or participate in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments in the field. Update technical knowledge. - Contact with clients, partners, and suppliers (both national and international) **Job Description**: **Requirements ✔️** - PhD in Physics, Photonics Engineering, Electrical Engineering with > 2 years of experience after PhD - Experience with optical fibers, laser systems, optics, electro-optics, circuits, and data acquisition interfaces. - Experience with data processing in Python and Matlab. - Experience with C/C++, and/or C# programming languages. - Experience in an optical lab setting. - Experience with spectroscopy, Raman, FTIR, or other types of scattering-based techniques. - Automation of optical characterization and test equipment. - Demonstrated knowledge of electronics, components, and circuitry. - Track record of scientific excellence, critical and creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and multitasking - Team player and capable of integrating a multidisciplinary and dynamic team - Fluent in English, with strong writing and communication skills. - Has a high level of motivation, self-organization, multi-tasking, and analytical skills.
