Learn more about Bounce's Series A, spearheaded by a16z, **here** **What is this role?** Bounce is seeking an **Engineering Manager** to join our Lisbon office. This role will help build and support our product development pods in crafting new products atop our platform with the goal of expanding the Bounce marketplace. As an engineering manager, you possess the engineering expertise to provide technical leadership and manage a team of up to 8 engineers. You will support the technical architecture decisions and tradeoffs for your team, contribute to product strategy and help inspire and develop the careers of your team members. Our ultimate goal is to build a large-scale, shared technology platform that supports various products capable of rapid iteration and exploration. **How product gets built at Bounce** At Bounce, we focus on serving our customers and partners rather than solely on technological innovation. We work in fast-paced 1-week cycles. Projects are usually scoped down to fit into one or two cycles. Projects are led by individuals but are a shared effort across the entire team. There will always be aspects of any project that will require collaboration, feedback, and guidance—we expect you to ask for help. **What you’ll be doing** - Manage and support a team of product engineers focused on building best-in-class new product experiences for Bounce. - Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate work across product, design, engineering, and other functions. - Provide hands-on technical leadership to your teams and others who collaborate with your teams to ensure a cohesive product experience and the right technical abstractions. - Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing engineers.
