M&A Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Banking Associate to join our Corporate Finance Lisbon-based team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute in some of the most relevant cross border transactions side by side with experienced professionals in a truly global Corporate & Investment Banking team.

Key Responsibilities
- Analysis of company operations and performance;
- Analysis of sector trends and competitive landscape;
- Review TBs, company accounts, profit & loss and cash flow information;
- Assist in ECM deals, including IPOs, Rights Issues, PTOs, etc ;
- Perform valuation using DCF, LBO, DDM, comparable companies and precedent transactions;
- Preparation of marketing materials including teasers and CIMs;
- Assist senior team in origination and with the strategic approach to mandates;
- Analyze transaction documentation and review relevant economic/financial clauses in legal documents;
- Draw conclusions from bids to be communicated in high-level negotiation meetings;
- Leadership role in implementing the execution function and in junior team mentoring and supervision.

Profile
- Master degree (Finance preferred, but Economics, Management and other quantitative backgrounds are also considered);
- 3-5 years of investment banking experience (experience in Big4 consulting firms, M&A boutiques, PE, or similar is also considered );
- Preference for previous experience in one or more of the following sectors: Energy/Renewables; TMT; Infrastructures; CRH and Healthcare;
- Goal-oriented character;
- Strong understanding of M&A lifecycle;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to articulate written and oral ideas;
- Fluent English speaker;
- Self-directed, ability to work independently and in several parallel tasks.
