Disability Support Workers

**Helping Hand Caregivers** is dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling, independent, and dignified lives. We’re expanding our team and looking for passionate **Disability Support Workers** who are ready to make a real difference in their communities.
**About the Role**
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide compassionate, client-centred assistance to individuals living with physical, intellectual, or psychosocial disabilities. Your support will be crucial in helping clients maintain their independence, engage in the community, and achieve personal goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients with daily living activities at home or in the community
- Assist with transportation to appointments, programs, or social activities
- Help implement individual care plans and goal-oriented activities
- Encourage skill development, independence, and community participation
- Monitor and report on clients' wellbeing and progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and care coordinators
**Required Qualifications**
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- National Police Check and Working with Children Check (as applicable)
- COVID-19 Vaccination (as per current health guidelines)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if role requires travel)
- Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred
