Location: Portugal
Hybrid: 3 days a week in office

**About the role**

As a Financial Controller you will be one of members of the market unit finance team performing the financial control activities and driving process improvements for the business.
- Coaching of more junior team members
- Take responsibility for the Balance Sheet and P&L reporting of your market
- Liaise with (senior) stakeholders like commercial teams, treasury, tax and group finance
- Regular cash flow forecasting for the group
- Own the month end close process
- Local tax and statutory compliance and reporting

As a business partner, you liaise with internal stakeholders from local and global (finance) teams on the financial control activities (commercial, treasury, tax and group finance) and development of process improvements.

The Financial Controller will be reporting into the Regional Financial Controller for Southwest Europe.

**So what does it take to be successful in this role?**

You will receive a lot of responsibility; therefore we do ask that you bring multiple years of relevant experience within a finance position and a master's degree in finance or accountancy.

A professional qualification (e.g. Certified Accountant) would be a plus.

In order to directly contribute to the structuring and optimization of the processes, work experience with SAP (S4) is a big pre and the Portuguese and English language skills are also an asset for this role.

You work delivery-focussed with a high degree of ownership and a positive, growth mindset. You easily built relationships on cross-functional level and with both internal and external stakeholders.
