**Would you like to grow your talent and career in one of the most innovative and innovative companies in the renewal energy sector globally?** **Manufacturing and Global Procurement > COO MED > Direct Material Procurement** The regional Procurement Office (RPO) Mediterranean is responsible for all procurement activities related to Southern Europe, Turkey, Middle East, and Africa. The RPO consists of three sub departments Strategic Purchasing, Procurement Quality, and Suppliers Quality & Development. The strategic purchasing department is structured in focused teams procuring goods and services for our Turbines and our Constructions and Service Business. With a matrix organization, with global and regional roles, the RPO ensures the deployment of common strategy and processes with same overall goals across all Vestas regions. You will report to the MED Head of Direct Material Procurement, the full team is working cross-functionally and is responsible for managing all procurement activities related to Direct Material Category. As a Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for providing suppliers account plan, coordinating the overall relationship, business aspects, contracts, and supplier performance of Direct Materials Suppliers in MED region. You will own the supplier relationship management and deliver strategic impact through the supplier strategy development. You will work closely with key stakeholders (Vestas Power Solution, Supply Chain Planning, etc..) to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans. Proactively identify areas of opportunity for process improvement, and cost efficiencies. Provide insight on how to best develop and leverage supplier capabilities for the organization. **Responsibilities** - Direct suppliers account plan - Develop suppliers' strategy in full alignment with key stakeholders - Organise suppliers' performance and scorecards - Drive impact through supplier performance dialogue, innovative negotiation approach, supplier innovation ideas and should-cost tools and analytics - Build supplier fact packs for target setting - Coordinate commercial negotiations, contract management and assess business impact to mitigate risk - Direct business reviews and SRM sessions - Support in develop and implement procurement plans and strategies - Coordinate the group cost input on quarterly basis **Qualifications** - As a Purchasing Manager, you are expected to show the great example and challenge the organization in our ways of working - Comprehensive communication skills including fluency in English (both orally and in writing) - Proven record of comprehensive stakeholder management skills incl. experience with communication - As the category has a high attention among senior management, world class stakeholder management skills are required - Advanced skills within PPT, Excel and Word are a must - We prefer SAP experience **Competencies** - Motivated with natural curiosity - Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills - Having a 'can do' approach and positive attitude towards the issues you will face - Structured person with analytical and negotiation skills - Cross cultural skills (will work as part of an international team) - Team working competences within a Matrix organization - Ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive situation - Fact base, professional, and strategic approach **What we offer** We offer you an exciting and very stimulating job with excellent opportunities for professional and personal development within the established company in the renewable energy industry.You will be provided with a unique opportunity to set your mark within an essential area in Vestas.
