Silverback Staffing Ltd is helping a collaborative company recruit a Mechanical Commissioning Technician to work on a large industrial project, and the role comes with an attractive contract pay rate.
As a Mechanical Commissioning Technician working with the team, you will join their client site in the Giga factory sector. You will be responsible for commissioning facilities equipment on both utility and process systems. These systems include but are not limited to AHUs, Chillers, Boilers, Compressed Air, Scrubbed Exhaust, General Exhaust, Water Treatment, and Industrial Waste Systems.
If you were already a Mechanical Commissioning Tech, here are some areas you might have been working in this week:
- Generation and execution of commissioning documentation such as OATs and FATs (Operational and Functional acceptance tests)
- Working with operations and engineering teams to develop testing protocols and start-up procedures
- Carrying out QA/QC walks of mechanical systems and equipment, identifying punch list items and rectifying them before start-up
- Commissioning mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, motors, compressors, boilers, chillers, pipes and air handlers
**Requirements**:
- At least 4 years of industry experience with a maintenance background
- Working knowledge of industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment, including fans and pumps
- An ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a busy environment
