Allyn International is currently looking for a full-time Logistics Specialist in Porto to join our organization
Allyn International is a privately held professional services firm established in 1992. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, customer-centric services and solutions for the global marketplace. Our core products include transportation management, logistics sourcing, freight forwarding, supply chain consulting, tax management, and customs compliance.
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing logistics activities in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction. The Logistics Specialist shall manage imports for client. The position is responsible for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects, and services.
Route cargo in accordance with legal and customer requirements.
Proactive approach to issue resolution and shipment responsibility
Accurately verify shipping documentations such as certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists, and certificates of insurance.
Communication with freight forwarders, shippers, consignees, clients, customs and internal communication within the team
Contracting External Logistics Service Providers for route & port surveys
Transport regulations compliance management, including permitting, over dimensional and hazardous cargo.
Maintain online tracking and metrics tools.
Import customs clearance procedures with a background specifically aligned with Germany and UK.
