Head of Engineering

Tamanna is young but growing at high speed, which means you'll take ownership of your projects, work with great autonomy, and see your ideas and initiative being encouraged. Together our cross-disciplinary teams are iterating, experimenting and revolutionising the retail industry, by building a fully fledged multi-brand marketplace for fashion & beauty. **What you'll be doing: -**
- Holding responsibility for all areas of Engineering and ensuring the technical squads are working effectively to deliver high quality solutions and customer experiences in a timely manner against delivery commitments;
- Collaborating with business stakeholders, and product and engineering leaders to understand the needs of our customers and of the business in all technical initiatives; helping to communicate this to our technical teams;
- Defining and executing the technical strategy to support the goals of the business and make Tamanna a tech driven company that creates innovative and efficient platforms that adopt the best use of technology for the purpose at hand;
- Being a visionary leader that can inspire the team to share and get behind the vision, and then bring them on the journey to realise it;
- Coaching, mentoring and leading the engineering team, helping to develop them into the team members that they will become and inspiring them to be better every day; Providing technical guidance and direction for the team and business, being both hands-on, tactical and strategic whenever necessary;
- Preparing and managing the engineering budget and overseeing the strategic deployment of resources to ensure an optimal allocation of resources to produce a high velocity of delivery.;
- Evangelising the use of Agile throughout the Engineering organisation and beyond, ensuring that there is a common understanding throughout each department on how Tamanna delivers software;
- Partnering with the Head of Product to drive innovation, create an awesome team culture, develop amazing products and customer experiences, and evolve Tamanna into an exceptional company;
- Leading the recruiting activities of the Engineering team in order to ensure we hire the best people and that they share our values, passion and purpose.

**What we're looking for: -**
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent of the same in working experience
- At least 7 years of working experience in a senior frontend or backend development position, preferably working as Senior or Lead Developer
- Strong experience in software engineering, software development and working with numerous software-industry business models inclusive of subscription, e-commerce, support and fulfilment
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross functional teams through high impact and strategic projects
- Strong experience building consumer and developer facing products and services as well as the deployment of APIs
- Exceptional English communication skills with experience in a leadership position where clarity of communications can determine success or failure.

**Salary**: 110,000.00€ - 130,000.00€ per year
