Within the RWS group, the IQVIA Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) Real World Methods and Evidence Generation (RW MEG) team is composed of around 80 highly qualified multi-disciplinary professionals from a variety of disciplines including health economics, statistics, biochemistry and epidemiology, located across 12 geographies.
Our clients operate in the life sciences industry, including the global top 20 pharmaceutical companies, medical device and biotech companies, as well as public health providers and regulatory authorities. **Role overview**
Literature review analysts in the IQVIA EMEA RWS team work flexibly across qualitative health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) projects with an interest in developing as a specialist consultant in literature reviews. They support the team in health technology assessment (HTA) and HEOR project delivery, with the opportunity to support business development. The role is based in Portugal with flexibility of office and home working. Please refer to our diversity and inclusion statement for further information.
- Develops materials and services related to all stages of systematic literature reviews - research questions, protocols, screening of abstracts and full texts, data extraction for epidemiology, clinical, economic, and quality of life data and qualitative reporting
- Conducts quality and risk of bias assessment of the studies
- Develops literature review knowledge and skills through collaboration with the internal project team and the client team, as well as following trainings provided by IQVIA’s RWS Centers of Excellence
- Works within and across internal IQVIA teams, including technical consultants responsible for quantitative project delivery
- Supports thought leadership for literature review topics, such as preparing conference abstracts and posters, supporting development of white papers on literature reviews and guiding interns working with the team on literature reviews focused thesis topics
- Develops knowledge of EMEA RWS offerings in literature reviews and HEOR to support in business development opportunities
**Qualifications and desired experience**
The role requires analysts to work flexibly across multiple projects. A baseline level of organizational skills and time management is important to ensure that analysts can complete their assigned work to meet deadlines at a consistently high standard. Tasks should be managed and completed within the core company working hours and work-life balance is prioritized.
The ideal applicant should have apt interpersonal skills and the ability to establish relationships with both internal team members and clients. As such, fluency in conversational and business English is essential. The ability to demonstrate this through slide deck development, report writing, and presentations is essential.
