Fermentation Researcher

**The company you will work for**
Leading global synthetic biotechnology company, is looking to hire a Fermentation Researcher (M/F) to lead a fermentation operation within a collaborative research project in Porto.

**Your new role**
As an experienced Fermentation Researcher, you will be responsible for setting up a world-class bench-scale fermentation operation and participate in different research efforts to enhance fermentation processes (reduce yeast stress, increase fermentation yields) and to explore the commercial potential of fermentation by-products (e.g. valorization of spent yeast, vinasse, etc.).

**What you need to succeed**
We are looking for a professional with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or similar and with about 5 years of professional experience in industrial development or industrial R&D. Additionally, experience in process development using various techniques including centrifugation, filtration and distillation methods is required. Should exhibit excellent communication skills and ability to discuss technical issues with cross-functional groups;
