Laundry Attendant

In this hands-on role, you will manage all laundry tasks independently — from washing and pressing to **sewing repairs** and maintaining linens, towels, and bathrobes to the highest standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, presses, and steamers).
  • Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold all linens, towels, uniforms, bathrobes, and guest laundry.
  • Perform sewing and mending tasks (e.g. repairing bathrobes, stitching seams, minor fabric repairs).
  • Handle luxury fabrics and delicate materials with precision and care.
  • Monitor and use cleaning products and chemicals correctly and safely.
  • Ensure all laundry is processed to meet the hotel’s high-quality presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the laundry area.
  • Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping teams to ensure timely supply of clean linens and uniforms.

**Requirements**

  • Proven experience in a **4-star or 5-star hotel laundry** environment.
  • Strong knowledge of laundry processes, fabric care, and stain removal.
  • Ability to **sew and carry out small repairs** independently.
  • Reliable, organised, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic German or English language skills preferred.
