We are looking for an experienced **Network Administrator Consultant** to work in Portugal who's eager to embark on an exciting new opportunity

**What is this challenge about**
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents within network infrastructures, ensuring stability and performance;
- Detect and respond promptly to network failures, performance degradation, and security breaches;
- Implement and maintain robust network security measures, conducting regular audits and assessments;
- Manage and update network configurations (IP addresses, routing, firewall rules, etc.);
- Optimize network performance by analyzing traffic and metrics;
- Collaborate closely with sysadmins, cybersecurity teams, and developers;
- Provide on-call support for emergency response situations;
- Leverage automation and scripting tools to streamline operations;
- Document network diagrams, configurations, and procedures;
- Lead technical teams and mentor junior colleagues;
- Interact with clients to understand needs and propose tailored solutions.

**What we are looking for**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field;
- Over 8 years of professional experience in network administration;
- Strong expertise in protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF), hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), and security;
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, EDR solutions, and monitoring tools;
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python is a plus);
- Relevant certifications (Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper, CompTIA, Checkpoint, Fortinet, etc.) preferred;
- Strong problem-solving skills and methodical troubleshooting;
- Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations;
- Leadership mindset and mentoring abilities;
- Consulting expertise and client interaction experience.
- Fluent level of English (mandatory);
- Fluent level of Portuguese (mandatory);
- Work model hybrid 3x per week in Lisbon.
