Associate Consultant, Indirect Tax

The Associate Consultant is a position that assists the process team in all the aspects of the claim preparation process and performs an important role in the preparation of the VAT recovery claims. This position includes selection and analysis of invoices, data input, and updates of internal databases. The Associate Consultant also ensures day-to-day office support tasks of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs VAT reclaim audits of travel & entertainment expenses in the Braga office (T&E internal audits), working on paper originals or digital documents, by ensuring the selection of invoices that are eligible for the deduction of VAT in several European countries.
- Travels to client locations to gather travel & entertainment expenses and/or accounts payable invoices (external audits), working on paper originals or digital documents, by ensuring the selection of invoices that are eligible for the deduction of VAT in several European countries.
- Performs, validates and controls travel & entertainment expenses analysis and data input following the internal rules.
- Assists with the preparation and submission of claims.
- Performs contact and follow up with client’s suppliers for restyling and re-issuing invoices that are not compliant.
- Responsible for day-to-day internal updates and support on tasks of the department.
- Manages corrections invoice reception.
- Handles the outgoing post in Braga.
- Assists Office Manager on office supplies orders.
- Works closely with Junior Manager Process Team and T&E Audit Leader and assists them in carrying out their responsibilities in forecasting needs.
- Collaboration with our subsidiaries in Europe.
- Updates of internal databases.
- Organization and classification of documents.
- Knowledge and respect of the procedures set up in the company and its Quality Policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Academic Background or Professional Experience relevant for the position, such as Administrative/Accounting.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
Certificates and Licenses:
Not required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
