Software Development Engineer in Test

Intapp is looking for an enthusiastic individual for the position of Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). This person will make a real impact on the business by helping grow our test automation team and processes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for high quality software and engineering principles with strong analytic, problem solving and programming skills. Joining Intapp in Lisbon provides a unique opportunity to help shape the new flagship development center and contribute to high-impact projects in a thriving tech environment.What you will do:- Collaborate across functions with product managers, software architects, developers, contributing to release planning and software design.- Create comprehensive test strategies, including both manual and automated test case scenarios.- Execute extensive manual testing to ensure software quality, including exploratory, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing.- Develop tooling to assist both manual and automated testing processes.- Build and run tests as part of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.- Create dashboards and reporting metrics to drive release quality and continuous improvements.What you will need:- Proven experience in manual testing, including test planning, test case creation, execution, defect reporting, and issue tracking (typically 4+ years).- Experience in test automation, test tooling, and infrastructure for automated testing.- Solid understanding of software development principles and Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience in at least one common programming language (preferable languages C#, Java) and familiarity with web technologies such as HTML and CSS.- Expert knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools, covering both manual and automated testing approaches.- Understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodology, including its application in building and testing robust, high-quality software.- Experience in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing workflows, along with proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git).- Strong organizational and time management skills to work across projects, proactively managing competing priorities.- Excellent communication skills to work in a collaborative environment and participate in stakeholder meetings.- Familiarity with load, stress, or performance testing tools and methodologies is a plus.- An understanding of Microsoft Azure & Amazon Web Services is a plus.- An ISTQB/ISEB certification is a plus.- Fluency in English.What we offer at Intapp:Our culture at Intapp emphasizes accountability, responsibility, and growth.
