SFCC Frontend Lead

You will mentor junior developers, guide architectural decisions, and ensure best practices in performance and maintainability.Key Responsibilities:Lead frontend architecture and component library designMentor junior developers and conduct code reviewsImplement complex interactive and responsive featuresEstablish frontend coding standards and best practicesCoordinate with backend developers on API contractsOptimize frontend performance and accessibilityDrive adoption of modern frontend technologiesWhat you will bringTechnical Skills Required:JavaScript ES6+ (async/await, Fetch API, error handling, modular coding)SCSS/SASS with advanced features (mixins, variables, functions)BEM methodology & component-based CSS architectureResponsive design (mobile-first, Grid, Flexbox)SFCC ISML templates (syntax, includes, decorators, data binding)Basic MVC and caching strategies knowledgeHands-on experience with Business Manager (Page Designer, assets, slots, debugging logs)Advanced JavaScript design patterns (Module, Observer, Factory)State management patterns & lazy loading techniquesWeb Components and custom elementsAdvanced ISML patterns and custom cartridge developmentAdvanced Webpack configurations (custom loaders/plugins, code splitting, tree shaking)Performance budgets and audits (Lighthouse, BM tools)Advanced Page Designer configuration & component registrationDebugging complex frontend issues in Business ManagerExperience Level:4–7 years frontend development experience4+ years SFCC-specific experienceExperience leading frontend architectureLeadership Skills:Technical decision-making for frontend solutionsMentoring and knowledge transferCross-team collaboration with design and backendClear communication of technical constraints to stakeholdersAt Metyis, we are driven by curiosity and collaboration.
