Business Analyst – Project Manager

What will you do? Regulatory Expertise: utilize your in-depth understanding of MiFID/R II & III regulations to provide insights and guidance to the consulting team; stay updated on regulatory developments and communicate their implications to stakeholders. Requirement Gathering: collaborate with key stakeholders, including the bank’s management and operational teams, to gather detailed requirements for the operational implementation of MiFID/R II; work closely with business units to identify gaps and ensure compliance. Formulars/Questionnaires Development: assist in the design and implementation of client profiling and risk assessment formulars/questionnaires; ensure the bank has a comprehensive understanding of each client’s profile and risk appetite to protect their assets and interests effectively. Project Management: lead and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management; ensure timely delivery of project milestones and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders. Multitasking and Other Regulatory Matters: demonstrate the ability to work on concurrent regulatory projects. Support the bank in addressing tax regulations, such as Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), by assisting in the development and completion of the necessary forms for clients. ESG Expertise: apply your knowledge and expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) analysis to assess the impact of regulations on bank operations; contribute to the definition of ESG policies, perform GAP analysis, and support the classification and reporting of ESG data. In this project, a Business Analyst/Project Manager is a highly skilled and experienced professional that will join our consulting team for a large bank in Portugal, and that will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II and Regulation (MiFID/R II) project. This is a significant project for our client as it focuses on ensuring transparency and protection for their retail clients who may not possess sophisticated banking knowledge. What is TALEO looking for? Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, a Master’s degree is preferred. Extensive experience as a Business Analyst and Project Manager in the banking or financial services industry. Strong understanding of MiFID/R II & MiFID/R III regulations and their implications for retail banking clients. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, including regulatory initiatives. Familiarity with tax regulations, such as CRS and FATCA, is highly desirable. Knowledge and expertise in ESG analysis, policy development, and reporting is a plus. Fluency in English and Portuguese. Why should you join us?
