Supplier Manager Contract Type Permanent Country Location Santa Maria da Feira Your opportunity As a Supplier Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing Sourcing strategies and managing suppliers for complex spend categories. You will perform sourcing activities for a defined portfolio of categories at global and/or local level, in alignment with Group strategy, to drive commodity performance, ensure compliance, and contribute to overall business profitability. Your Mission Developing and implementing short- and mid-term global commodity strategies for assigned categories, including strategic areas. This involves performing and consolidating conclusions from diverse and/or complex analysis (e.g., spend analysis, cost breakdown) and conducting business continuity assessmentsDefining the annual savings forecast and identifying associated risks and opportunitiesManaging tenders (RFQ) for complex or strategically allocated commoditiesNegotiating contracts with global and local suppliers, covering elements such as pricing, discount rates, quality standards, duration, delivery timelines, and commercial terms and conditions.Managing complex supplier base activities and autonomously leading supplier relationships at a global level. This includes monitoring KPI trends and implementing necessary corrective actionsUnderstanding and validating supplier rationales to drive productivity and meet quality requirements. This also includes assessing risks and verifying mitigation plansScouting and qualifying new suppliers to align with category strategy, with the aim of developing a sustainable and unique supplier baseConducting detailed analysis for assigned spend categories. For relevant commodities (based on cost, strategic importance, etc.), monitoring the market through ongoing benchmarking and cost breakdowns to ensure continuous improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and technology. Escalating major non-conformities when necessaryPerforming business continuity assessments, including financial risk evaluations, supplier dependency analysis, capacity assessments, and dual sourcing analysis Your Profile Minimum 5 years in strategic sourcing in an international manufacturing companyExperience in Automation & Electrical categories is considered as an advantageExperience in international negotiation, contracting, supplier and claim managementExcellent negotiation and communication skills as key element in order to interact both with suppliers and internal stakeholders at different hierarchical levels, and capability of managing conflicting prioritiesExperience outside of own country of origin is a plusTarget oriented, resilient and able to work autonomouslyComputer skills: proficiency in MS Office application (Word, Power Point, Outlook ...); SAP, Power BI knowledge is an advantage
