I'm partnering with a leading global technology platform operating at large scale within the Web3 and digital finance ecosystem. Their engineering teams build complex, distributed systems that power millions of users worldwide — and they're now expanding their QA function in Braga and Porto.

If you're a senior‑level QA professional who loves working deep in the backend/API layer, this one's for you.

This role sits within the organisation's core Enterprise APIs team — the backbone of their financial, payment, trading and mission‑critical transaction flows.

You'll play a key role ensuring reliability, correctness, and predictability across distributed systems that move real financial value.

What You Will Do

  • Lead testing and validation of REST APIs powering financial, payment and investment operations
  • Validate business logic, edge cases, error handling and complex flows
  • Test authentication (OAuth2 / JWT), idempotency, data consistency
  • Work with event‑driven systems: webhooks, callbacks, asynchronous flows
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers across design → release
  • Contribute to the growth of API automation test coverage
  • Drive QA best practices, documentation, and defect reporting
  • Support the continuous improvement of testing frameworks and processes

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in QA or software testing with strong API/backend focus
  • Hands‑on experience testing REST APIs (Postman, Bruno or similar)
  • Strong understanding of API contracts, schemas, business rules
  • Experience with asynchronous/event‑driven flows
  • Exposure to automation (Newman, Postman collections, Cypress, etc.)
  • Strong exploratory testing mindset
  • Clear, structured communication in English
  • A proactive, quality‑driven approach

Nice‑to‑Have Experience

  • Scripting or programming skills
  • Automation framework development
  • Background in fintech, payments, trading or regulated industries
