Braga, Braga, Portugal Coverflex Tempo inteiro 50 000 € - 80 000 €
Coverflex

Work changed. Pay didn't.

Coverflex exists to make compensation work for everyone.
Pay is still rigid, fragmented, and hard to feel.
We turn compensation into choice — one platform, one card, one app — for benefits, meal allowance, insurance and more.

Our platform is simple for HR and meaningful for employees.
We provide choice, smarter compensation tools and empowerment.

TL;DR (The Essentials)

Role: Full-Stack Engineer
Seniority Level: Mid to Senior
Type: Individual Contributor
Languages: English (main) / Portuguese, Spanish or Italian a plus
Main Tools:

  • React, React Native, TypeScript, Expo

  • Segment, Amplitude

  • ConfigCat, Github Actions, Datadog

Location: Remote (Europe only)
Compensation:

  • Base Salary: 50K to 80K gross annually

  • Equity: Yes – VSOPs

  • Benefits: See below

  • Contract Type: Permanent

Your Impact

Your role will play a major role in our success because…

You'll be the builder who transforms our product into the most powerful growth engine, creating delightful self-serve experiences that help thousands of companies discover how Coverflex can change the way they think about compensation. Every feature you ship, every experiment you run, and every friction point you eliminate will directly empower more companies to give their people the financial flexibility and transparency they deserve through the Coverflex Product.

What this role is not

- Not the primary owner of CRM/Marketing Ops
- Not brand/content ownership; you'll collaborate with those teams

You'll know you're successful when, after 90 days, you've…

1. Deliver reliable Growth infrastructure
2. Ship high-velocity experiments and features
3. Improve Free → Paid conversion
4. Accelerate time-to-activation via guided flows, self-serve improvements, and AI-assisted onboarding.
5. Establish experimentation foundation by implementing A/B testing infrastructure for pricing, packaging, and onboarding with guard-railed rollouts, proper assignment tracking, and statistical rigor.
6. Build robust tracking and data hygiene
7. Demonstrate technical ownership and mentorship by leading frontend features end-to-end with minimal oversight, providing constructive code reviews, supporting team members, and contributing to frontend engineering standards and best practices across Product Engineering

How we'll measure success:

Success means shipping experiments that improve conversion, activation, and retention week over week. You'll see measurable impact:

Free → Paid uplift across markets, faster time-to-aha, and stronger Day 7 and Day 30 cohorts.

Your infrastructure will be reliable: stable n8n workflows, validated tracking, clean A/B test rollouts with feature flags, and runbooks that prevent alerts.

The Growth Room will run on your pipeline with data-driven decisions.

Marketing won't need to ping you about breakages because reliability is built in.

You'll know you've succeeded when every experiment generates insights, every launch is instrumented, and the product becomes our most powerful growth engine.

Reality Check - What Makes This Role Hard

Let's be real - here's what makes this role challenging:

You'll need to ship fast while keeping systems stable. Growth moves in weekly experiment cycles, but every feature you ship must be instrumented, flagged, and reliable from day one.
You'll coordinate across Marketing, Product, Data, and DevX without clear ownership boundaries. Your job is to establish those guardrails while unblocking everyone.
The tracking foundation has gaps. You'll fix instrumentation debt in parallel with shipping new experiments, which means disciplined prioritization and no shortcuts on data quality.
Growth infrastructure (n8n workflows, feature flags, telemetry pipelines) needs engineering rigor. You'll bring observability, safe rollouts, and SLOs to systems that haven't had them.
You're building for Portugal, Italy, and Spain simultaneously. Experiments must work across markets without adding complexity or slowing you down.

YouMust-haves (evidence, not years)
  • Strong in frontend engineering, with the ability to contribute confidently across the stack when needed

  • React/ React Native + TypeScript

  • Experimentation, feature flags, telemetry-first mindset

  • Shipping in small PRs with CI/CD on AWS or similar

  • AI‑assisted development habits and prompt‑level fluency

Nice-to-have
  • Growth engineering experience in PLG contexts

  • Experience in multi‑market B2B SaaS

  • Building AI workflows with tools like n8n

  • Shows curiosity and open to experimenting with backend systems when useful

Your DNA

We're looking for engineers who thrive in fast-paced, experiment-driven environments. You'll need to be comfortable with rapid iteration, shipping small increments weekly, and pivoting priorities based on data and OKRs.

This role demands strong collaboration across Product, Marketing, and Data teams, a bias toward action over perfection, and deep ownership of both feature delivery and system reliability.

If you excel at turning hypotheses into measurable outcomes, embrace trunk-based development with feature flags and telemetry, and naturally align your work to quarterly goals while maintaining high quality through speed, you'll succeed here.

You'll probably find this frustrating if…

You work in isolation, ship large monolithic changes, over-engineer without data validation, resist proper instrumentation and experimentation practices, avoid ownership of reliability, or struggle to adapt priorities based on impact and measurable outcomes.
