Position Overview
Euronext is seeking a dynamic and experienced Python Data Engineer to drive the development and calculation of indices using the Dataiku platform.

As part of our strategic growth, you will join an agile team of three professionals embedded within the Index business, supporting the development of indices and related analytics. This role marks the first team member of this unit to be based in our Porto office and plays a key part in expanding our data and analytical capabilities.

Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, you will support projects end-to-end, from ideation and rapid prototyping to production deployment, ensuring that innovation and reliability go hand in hand across our data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities include

• Write clean, maintainable, and robust code following best practices.

• Study the feasibility and evaluate the technical complexity of projects, ensuring code quality and robustness are prioritized.

• Design optimized data processing flows in line with the scalability needs.

• Conduct peer code reviews and ensure the quality of the deliverables.

• Coordinate with business teams on various tasks and progress on use cases.

• Write technical documentation for delivered projects, providing clear and comprehensive code comments and documentation.

• Monitor the use cases running in production, constantly improving the performance and reliability of our applications.

Candidate Profile

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in Data Engineering, with a proven ability to design and implement scalable data solutions.

• Extensive experience working with large and complex datasets in Python, utilizing libraries such as pandas or Polars for data processing and analysis.

• Strong foundation in software engineering best practices, including clean code, version control, automated testing, and workflow automation.

• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools and/or Dataiku is considered a strong advantage.
