You will play a crucial role in enhancing our in-house developed framework, aimed at making complex simulation and prediction methods accessible through a standardized and user-friendly web application.

Your main challenge will be to bridge the gap between Engineering and IT, evolving our microservice-based backend and integrating it with existing scientific workflows, while also developing and maintaining the user-facing React part. You will work in a global team, collaborating with colleagues from around the world to create innovative solutions. Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement concepts for our existing Java Spring web applications, including both backend services and frontend components;
• Collaborate closely with front-end team members and engineers to create seamless fullstack solutions;
• Take ownership of developing test code and test scenarios to ensure high-quality deliverables;
• Efficiently debug and resolve technical issues to maintain smooth operations;
• Follow Scrum/Agile methodologies to organize and plan projects effectively;
• Continuously improve and optimize backend and frontend systems for better performance, scalability and user experience;

• Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field;
• Advanced knowledge in developing Java web applications;
• Experience with the Spring Framework;
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and , including popular React workflows;
• Experience with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack) and package managers (npm);
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling;
• Familiarity with Apache Camel is a plus;
• Experience with Python and/or MATLAB is a plus;
• Proficiency in using IntelliJ, Git/GitHub, and Jenkins;
• Experience working with microservice architecture is a plus;
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with software development team members and engineers;
• Fluent communication skills in English (written and verbal);
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Passion for innovation and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
