We are looking for a senior-level expert to join an international tech powerhouse in Portugal. This is a high-impact, B2B contract role focused on the design and development of a central data platform that serves millions of users.

The Opportunity

  • Scope: You will lead the migration of vast data landscapes and design the frameworks that ensure Data Quality and Governance across the entire organisation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Framework Design: Architect and develop robust, scalable data frameworks for a global marketplace.
  • Strategic Migration: Lead the transition from legacy systems to a modern AWS Lakehouse.
  • Governance & Quality: Implement data governance standards and automated quality checks to ensure data integrity at scale.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide the development of Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) using Apache Iceberg, PySpark, and AWS Glue.

What We Are Looking For

  • Senior Expertise: Significant experience at a Senior or Architect level within the AWS data ecosystem.
  • Hands-on Skills: Deep proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL combined with a passion for building from the ground up.
  • Migration Specialist: Proven track record of leading end-to-end data migrations and designing organisational data frameworks.
  • Tools: Expert knowledge of AWS (Glue, EMR, S3, Athena), Airflow, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
