The Role
The Head of Securities will be part of this exciting function and is responsible for:

• The processing and controls of the processes within the Securities function covering Securities Masterfile, Settlement & Derivatives, Securities Transfer, Corporate Actions and Income Tax.
• Ensuring efficiency and productivity in delivery quality services to Azqore's clients.
• Working closely with his/her colleagues to provide clients with technical expertise and solutions, in a comprehensive, timely and accurate manner.
• Managing budget and financial trajectory for the securities department.

you'll be helping launch this activity from scratch in Lisbon
, working closely with our experienced team in
Switzerland
.

The role will be based in Lisbon, Portugal (Av. Dom João II 43, Lisboa, Portugal).

Your Responsibilities
Daily BAU

• Successful applicant will be responsible for the management of Securities Operations function and part of the Operations management team.
• Ensure operational efficiency and excellence and maintain low levels of operational risk
• Align the Securities Operations team members to the Operations and Company goals and vision
• Acts as the point of contact for clients on all Securities Operations queries, concerns and issues.

Others

• Leads Azqore Operations projects and initiatives, where necessary
• Drive cross border collaboration and strengthen communication channels with the Swiss team
• Enhance client service standards within the team, and consequently the client ratings of the function. Propose/identify value-add solutions which can impact profitability.

• Cultivate habits around the Azqore management charter
• Ability to engage, influence and lead the Portuguese Securities team to achieve Operations/company goals

Other

• Fluency in English and French
• At least a Bachelor degree (preferred Master degree), preferably in Accountancy, Banking & Finance
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in Securities Operations and at least 5 years of people management experience
• Excellent communication skills; Ability to collaborate, especially cross border
• Rigorous and results oriented
