Are you an accounting or finance professional looking to build hands-on experience in a regional, shared services environment? Our client is seeking a Temporary Africa AP Accountant to support centralized Accounts Payable operations across multiple African countries within a global organization, for a 9 month contract.
In this role, you'll be an integral part of the Africa finance team, managing AP activities across all JDE-ledgers and working closely with Ledger Controllers and centralized finance teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. Key Responsibilities
  • Process and allocate Accounts Payable invoices daily (JDE/TAP)
  • Ensure accurate coding, tax compliance, and adherence to DOA policies
  • Resolve supplier and in-country AP queries efficiently
  • Process intercompany invoices and prepare weekly payment runs
  • Assist with supplier reconciliations and month-end reporting
  • Support statutory, tax, and audit requirements
  • Contribute to maintaining strong internal controls
What We're Looking For
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Administration
  • Experience in accounting, finance administration, or financial analysis
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach
