Sqills is building S3 Passenger, a cutting-edge platform for the public transport industry. The platform offers a wide range of features and capabilities to improve the passenger experience and increase operational efficiency for our customers.

We are currently searching for a Team Lead / Senior Java Developer (m/f/d) to join our team

Your key responsibilities:

• Act as a central communication hub between COC and Sqills.
• Organize regular team office days and ensure hybrid work policies are respected.
• Support cross-team initiatives and fosters collaboration.
• Collaborating on software used to find and book seats for major international travel brands like Eurostar, Renfe, and SNCF.
• Optimizing the processing of asynchronous requests for high-availability, high-performance components or to put extra effort in securing the processes as much as possible.
• Improving development pipelines or helping analyze new feature requests.
• Continuously refactoring code to improve its quality and performance.

Your Skills

• Previous experience in team leadership (preferrable) within a technical or software environment.
• Strong organizational and mentoring skills.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational communication skills.

Desirable AI Requirements:

Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) applied to productivity and data analysis, preferably in:

• Practical day-to-day application: using AI to draft and review texts, generate ideas, structure presentations, automate repetitive tasks, and synthesize large volumes of information.
• AI-assisted data analysis: using tools with integrated AI to interpret dashboards, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Critical interaction with AI systems: knowing how to formulate instructions (prompts), assess the quality of generated responses, and apply critical thinking to validate and adapt results to the project context.
