What are the responsibilities?

Model Coordination & Quality Control

  • Coordinate 3D models of baggage handling systems with building structure, MEP, and airport facilities.
  • Run clash detection processes to identify and resolve spatial conflicts.
  • Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project standards, and client specifications.

Site Surveys & Laser Scanning

  • Plan and perform site surveys using laser scanning equipment.
  • Process and register point cloud data to produce accurate as-built models.
  • Integrate survey data into design models to ensure dimensional accuracy for equipment installation.
  • Document and manage survey deliverables for design and construction teams.

Information Management

  • Maintain structured and standardized information in the Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Ensure models and data follow project naming conventions, version control, and delivery requirements.
  • Support digital workflows for 3D, 4D (construction sequencing), and 5D (quantities/costs) when required.
  • Develop and implement Dynamo scripts or Python/C# tools to automate repetitive tasks (model checks, parameter management, reporting) - Preferred but not mandatory.

Collaboration & Support

  • Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination between system designers, engineers, architects, and contractors.
  • Organize and lead coordination meetings with stakeholders.
  • Provide BIM and survey-related training and technical support to project teams.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Deliver reports on model coordination, clash detection, and survey results.
  • Provide visualizations and extracts (2D/3D drawings, schedules, layouts) for design and construction teams.

What do you need to qualify for this job?

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in BIM coordination, design, or engineering roles.
  • Practical experience with BIM authoring and coordination tools (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC).
  • Practical experience with Cloud Point tools (e.g. Autodesk Recap Pro)

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650, local BIM guides).
  • Proficiency in BIM authoring tools (Revit, etc.) and coordination tools (Navisworks).
  • Experience with Common Data Environments (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud).
  • Understanding model-based workflows: clash detection, 4D/5D BIM, asset information management.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Dynamo, Python, Grasshopper, or similar).

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills for managing large amounts of data and multiple project workflows.
