ABOUT THE JOB

As our new
Finance Intern IEFP
you'll be bring a positive, go-getter approach to the daily challenges of our Finance Team, where you'll assume a full-time position. This job is located in Lisbon, Portugal where the work policy is Hybrid Flex.

You'll enjoy a 6 month internship contract with full benefits, with the possibility of receiving a job offer afterwards. You can find some of your future co-workers, here.

This will be an IEFP-funded internship, which means that you must be under 35 years old, hold at least a bachelor's degree, and be willing to get registered in the IEFP system (we'll provide you with all operational support during the process).

YOUR MISSION

• Processing invoices and payments for suppliers, clients, and partners, as well as handling payroll and taxes.
• Maintaining accurate and organized accounting records.
• Ensure that all financial documents comply with accounting principles and internal validation processes.
• Supporting general accounting management and responding to ad-hoc requests from the Finance Manager.
• Updating and reforecasting cash flow data, and assisting with the preparation and reconciliation of bank statements.
• Contributing to the month-end closing process and other time-sensitive financial activities.
• Support management control by helping prepare and analyze budgets, revenues, cash flow, and other financial data. This includes identifying cost deviations, producing periodic reports and KPIs, and helping build dashboards and financial templates.
• In addition, you'll provide general administrative support, collect and archive documents, and assist in contract preparation and analysis.
• As part of the Beta-i team, you'll also take part in internal meetings such as Happy Monday and All Hands, and collaborate in internal communication and time management tasks.
• You will have autonomy to accept or reject documents according to compliance standards, classify hours and costs, and set priorities within your area of responsibility.

• Key Requirements: this is an IEFP co-funded internship, which means that you must be under 35 years old, hold at least a bachelor's degree, and be willing to get registered in the IEFP system.
• Experience: entry-level experience is expected. If you have any previous internships or projects that add value, that's a plus. But we're happy to hire straight out of university.
• Financial mindset: strong curiosity and sensibility for budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
• Detail orientation: high attention to detail, with a strong commitment to accuracy and reliability.
• Organization: analytical who enjoys organizing processes, learning continuously, and contributing to a dynamic and collaborative environment.

• Fluency: in Portuguese and English.
