Job Title

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical assemblies, sheet metal structures, and precision mechanisms, ensuring seamless integration with electrical and electronic components. You will create detailed CAD models and engineering documentation, lead prototyping and testing activities, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable solutions. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in materials selection, manufacturing processes, and regulatory compliance, combined with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Common accountabilities:

  • Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area. ​

  • Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.​

  • Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.

Specific accountabilities:

Mechanical Product Design Engineering focuses on designing and developing new or existing products, components, or assemblies including:

  • Applying engineering principles to develop mechanical and electronic products that meet customer technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements.

  • Conducting mathematical modelling to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible.

  • Supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes.

  • May also be involved with designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment.

  • Identify technological advancements and practices which could be of interest to Amadeus.

  • Carry out technical studies and conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) to evaluate a given technology and its utility for Amadeus.

  • Optimize current designs and support on-going projects
