Senior Front-End Engineer – Angular, TypeScript, Java / Oracle | Financial Trading & Payments | €80,000 + Bonus + Package | Hybrid | Lisbon

We're partnering with a leading financial services firm in the
FX payments and trading
space that's investing heavily in modernising its technology stack. With a new tech leader driving innovation, the focus is on building in-house systems that are scalable, reliable, and future-ready.

About the Role

This is first and foremost a
front-end development
position. You'll take ownership of building and enhancing key client-facing applications using
Angular
, while working closely with back-end teams who use
Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle
.

The work spans complex financial products, so you'll have the chance to engage with both technical and business stakeholders across the UK, Portugal, India, and Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop responsive, high-quality web interfaces using
    Angular
    .
  • Collaborate with back-end engineers working in
    Java / Spring Boot / Oracle
    to deliver seamless integrations.
  • Participate in design discussions and help modernise legacy front-end components.
  • Ensure code quality through testing and best practices.
  • Work in a collaborative, cross-functional global team (QA, BA, Dev).
  • Contribute ideas to improve usability, scalability, and performance.

Tech Stack

  • Front End:
    Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Back End (exposure):
    Java, Spring Boot, Oracle
  • Other:
    RESTful APIs, Messaging (MQ), Git, CI/CD

What We're Looking For

  • Solid experience developing front-end applications with
    Angular
    (v8+)
  • Understanding of
    Java / Spring Boot / Oracle
    environments
  • Experience with end-to-end testing and agile practices
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team
