Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a
Senior Data Engineer
to join our Inetum Team and be part of a work culture focused on innovation

Location:
Lisbon or Porto

Main Tasks:

  • Explore, clean, and analyze large and complex datasets to support business objectives.
  • Design and implement
    scalable data processing pipelines
    capable of handling large data volumes efficiently and reliably.
  • Optimize and fine-tune existing data pipelines for
    performance and stability
    .
  • Collaborate with
    data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
    to identify use cases, formulate hypotheses, and design data-driven solutions.
  • Participate in
    project code reviews
    and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Automate the
    end-to-end release of artifacts
    across multiple environments.
  • Perform
    daily ETL job monitoring
    and take corrective actions in coordination with production and functional support teams.
  • Contribute to maintaining the
    integrity and scalability of the data infrastructure
    , defining priorities, tracking progress, and ensuring issue resolution.

Profile:

  • Senior professional with solid experience as a
    Data Engineer
    .
  • Expertise in
    SQL
    and
    ETL processes
    , with proven ability to design and optimize complex data workflows.
  • Proficient in
    Python
    and experienced with data-oriented programming.
  • Strong understanding of the
    software development lifecycle
    and best practices in CI/CD automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking, capable of deriving actionable insights from data.
  • Strong communication skills – able to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in
    cross-functional teams
    and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluency in
    English (minimum B2 level)
    is mandatory.
