Project Manager
to join our team in Porto, Portugal.

A Project Manager will have the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project, according to strict deadlines and within budget.

The main responsibility will be managing implementation projects through all the phases of a project lifecycle in the field of supply chain planning and optimization solutions.

On top of ensuring a successful implementation, the Project Manager will also be responsible for building strong customer relationships, problem solving, coordination and prioritization of project tasks with the wider project team, while ensuring all timelines and budget are met and progress is communicated to stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Accountable for the overall project quality, profitability and reporting;
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining customer relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Responsible for owning, creating, and maintaining project plans with the project team;
  • Responsible for project scope and managing change requests;
  • Conduct projects according to the objectives, methodology & standards, deliverables, schedule and resources allocated;
  • Effectively manage resources and coordinate efforts of team members and third-party contractors in order to deliver projects according to plan;
  • Responsible for the team leadership;
  • Create and implement communication plans, including steering group meetings;
  • Ensure all stakeholders are adequately informed, internally and externally, by providing periodic and effective activity report;
  • Identify, log, escalate and monitor project risks and issues;
  • Proactively identify, log and monitor project dependencies (internal and external);
  • Provide inputs and contribute to business development at the account/project level;
  • Organize and facilitate project meetings and workshops ensuring actions are documented and followed up until completion;
  • Support sales process to agree appropriate timelines and project approach;

Requirements:

  • Experience in project management in IT system implementations (min 2 years);
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies;
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to interact confidently with customer stakeholders, influence and negotiate;
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills;
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;
  • Ability to work well with others and lead a team;
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with interest towards growing the business;
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory;
  • Preferable Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field;
  • Availability to travel;

What we consider a plus:

  • Supply Chain Industry knowledge;
  • Ability to understand SCM systems from both business and IT perspectives;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or an International Project Management Association (IPMA) certification (C or D);
  • Proficiency in Spanish.
