About the company: Easypay is a leading Portuguese Payment Service Provider (PSP), powering payment experiences for e-commerce, marketplaces, and businesses of all sizes. We process millions of transactions every year and help merchants reconcile, settle, and grow their revenue through reliable and innovative payment solutions. They are scaling their platform to support more merchants, higher volumes, and new payment methods, while remaining fully compliant with European regulations.
 
About the role/What you'll do: They are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for both manual and automated testing, while actively contributing to quality best practices across the entire SDLC. You will work closely with Software Engineers to provide governance and oversight of product quality, ensuring testing is a shared responsibility across the team. They also value experimentation and regularly run POCs to improve their QA processes, tooling, and practices—so there is plenty of opportunity to make an impact
 
Responsibilities: 

Contribute to the ongoing development of automated test scenarios as part of an agile team.Mentor and support junior QA engineers.Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing enhancements to QA processes and procedures.Investigate user-reported issues and collaborate with teams to identify root causes.Build a strong understanding of Easypay's products and domain to perform hands-on, technically oriented testing.Support engineering teams to promote quality as a shared responsibility.Prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment, demonstrating autonomy and a strong sense of urgency.Manage risks and issues proactively, escalating when necessary to relevant stakeholders.Review design proposals, acceptance criteria, and processes, providing feedback and improvement suggestions.
Requirements: 

5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or strong technical background with relevant experience.Proven experience designing and executing functional, regression, performance, ad-hoc, manual, and automated tests.Pragmatic approach to defect reporting, with a solid understanding of risk, impact, dependencies, and trade-offs.Ability to assess end-to-end impact of changes and incorporate this into QA strategy and test planning.Experience with JavaScript / TypeScript.Hands-on experience with testing tools and frameworks such as: Cypress, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, RestSharp, PostmanStrong experience testing REST APIs.Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices.Excellent attention to detail and a structured, methodical testing approach.Strong knowledge of exploratory testing and the distinction between checking and testing.Bias for action and problem-solving mindset, with initiative and ownership.Proficiency in SQL and scripting.
Nice to have:

Previous exposure to AWS.Experience with microservices architectures.ISTQB certification.Prior experience working in a fintech or regulated environment
