GenAI Engineers work with cross-functional teams to turn business problems into AI solutions, selecting the right technologies, building prototypes, developing and deploying GenAI models, integrating APIs, using containers , managing databases , and applying LLMOps best practices. They collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers within Azure cloud environments .

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Design and develop GenAI solutions using modern frameworks
  • Build APIs, deploy models, and ensure performance and scalability
  • Work with Docker, databases, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • Collaborate in agile teams and stay ahead of AI trends
  • Apply prompt engineering and agentic frameworks

Requirements

  • Strong Python and AI/ML framework experience
  • Hands-on work with LLMs, GANs, VAEs, or diffusion models
  • Knowledge of NLP, OCR, or multimodal AI
  • API development (FastAPI, Flask, Django)
  • Cloud deployment skills (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • Reside in Portugal , speak Portuguese & English, hybrid work in Lisbon
  • Azure AI certification is a plus
