We are looking for a Senior Mainframe COBOL Developer

As a
Senior Mainframe COBOL Developer
, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the banking sector. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining and enhancing critical banking systems, ensuring seamless transaction processing and data integrity. Join a dynamic team committed to modernizing core financial infrastructure and advancing your career in the financial technology landscape.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain COBOL-based banking applications within a mainframe environment, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Manage and optimize CICS, DB2, VSAM, and JCL to support transaction processing and data management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using TSO/Eclipse for efficient development workflows.
  • Implement and support payment integrations and file transfer processes to enhance banking services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Contribute to system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
  • Document technical specifications and best practices for ongoing support and knowledge sharing.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mainframe COBOL development within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and TSO/Eclipse environments.
  • Experience with payment processing systems and file transfer protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, maintaining excellent communication and teamwork.
  • Fluent level of English; proficiency in French is required.
