We are seeking a skilled Logistics Engineer to join our operations team and drive efficiency across our supply chain and logistics processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities, deep understanding of logistics systems, and proven experience in optimizing transportation, warehousing, and material flow. This position plays a critical role in improving operational performance, reducing costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of products.

Client Details

Our client is an international industrial group currently investing in Portugal, with the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in the country and a Support Office in Porto.

Description

  • Design, analyze, and optimize logistics networks, including transportation routes and warehouse layouts;
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs;
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and distribution teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives;
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations and implement corrective actions when needed;
  • Lead projects focused on automation, digitalization, and sustainability within logistics processes;
  • Coordinate with external logistics providers and ensure compliance with service level agreements;
  • Analyze transportation and warehousing costs to identify savings opportunities.

Profile

  • Academic background in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field;
  • 8+ years of experience in logistics engineering, supply chain optimization, or operations management;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data-driven decision-making tools;
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies;
  • Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Fluency in English.
