Key responsibilities
and authority
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Integration Support Engineer to join our Integration Delivery Team. As a key contributor, you will develop and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet our business needs and elevate user experiences. This role is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining system integrations, ensuring seamless data flow and operational stability. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve integration issues, manage the BAU (Business-As-Usual) backlog, and continuously improve processes, including automation initiatives.

• Monitor and maintain integration processes using SAP BTP Integration Suite.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration errors, escalating complex issues when necessary.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement fixes and enhancements.
• Work closely with our ServiceDesk team to ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests.
• Manage incidents and service requests through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Track and prioritize tasks in the BAU backlog, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Document integration workflows and support procedures.
• Manage work items and progress using Jira.
• Support integration lifecycle management with SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) and architecture governance using LeanIX.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
• Participate in CAB (Change Advisory Board) meetings to review and approve changes.
• Assist in testing and validating new integrations or updates.
• Contribute to automation initiatives to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.

Key Requirements
Outline the essential competencies and characteristics that candidates must demonstrate to contribute to our diverse, inclusive culture and succeed in the role. These may include:

• 3 to 5 years of experience as an Integration Support Engineer.
• Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data exchange formats (e.g., XML, JSON).
• Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite or similar integration platforms.
• Proficiency in REST APIs and Graph APIs for integration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
• Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and SAP CALM.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Experience or exposure to RPA tools and process automation concepts is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and patterns.
• Familiarity with database technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL) and web services (e.g. REST, SOAP).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Github).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Previous experience in IT support or application support roles.
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, healthcare) is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM practices and their application in support environments.

Education/ Qualifications

• Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
